→ Main Ingredients

01 - 4 cups of plain flour
02 - 1 cup of sugar
03 - ⅓ cup of cornstarch
04 - 1 teaspoon and a half of vanilla
05 - 2 eggs
06 - ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg (this is optional)
07 - 1 cup of softened butter
08 - ½ teaspoon of sea salt

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your oven on and set it to 375°F to warm up.
02 - Beat the butter, salt, and sugar in a mixer fitted with the paddle piece.
03 - Add vanilla and eggs to the butter mixture and stir it in well.
04 - Gradually mix in the flour, nutmeg, and cornstarch on a low speed until blended. Chill dough for 30 minutes if it’s too soft.
05 - Spread dough out to a thickness between ¼ and ½ inch on a floured countertop. Use cutters to shape them as you like.
06 - Put the tray in the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes. They’re done when the edges are barely golden. Don’t let them overcook!

# Notes:

01 - Let them cool fully before any decorating
02 - Store them in a sealed container for two weeks
03 - You can freeze them for a few months
04 - Throw in an extra ¼-½ cup of sugar if not planning to decorate
05 - Use only ¼ cup cornstarch for softer cookies
