Take the grapefruit, cut it lengthwise, and slice into thin crescent shapes.

Stir together 1 cup of water, a portion of the sliced grapefruit, 1 cup of blackberries, and 2 tablespoons of sage in a large bowl. Then squish it all until softened.

Pour 3 cups of water into the mixture you’ve mashed. Cover it and let it chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or up to an hour.

Using a fine strainer, pour the mixture into a large pitcher. Push on the solids to squeeze out as much liquid as you can.

Pour in the last 4 cups of water. Toss in the extra fruit and sage as decoration before serving over ice.
