Fresh Chunky Guac (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Tortilla chips to enjoy on the side.
02 - Slices of red radish or jicama for decoration (optional).
03 - 1/2 a ripe tomato, diced (optional).
04 - A sprinkle of freshly ground black pepper.
05 - 2 tablespoons of cilantro, finely chopped.
06 - 1-2 serrano or jalapeño peppers, minced after removing the seeds and stems.
07 - 2-4 tablespoons of finely diced red onion or thinly cut green onion.
08 - 1 tablespoon of fresh lime or lemon juice.
09 - 1/4 teaspoon of kosher salt to start with, adjust as needed.
10 - 2 ripe avocados.

# Instructions:

01 - Slice avocados in half and take out the seeds. Use a dull knife to make cuts inside, then scoop the avocado into a bowl.
02 - Use a fork to mash the avocado. Keep it a bit chunky if you'd like.
03 - Mix in lime juice and some salt. Adjust to your preference.
04 - Incorporate the chilis, onions, cilantro, and black pepper little by little until it’s just how you like it.
05 - For extra flavor, toss in the tomato right before serving if you’re using it. Optional toppings include radish or jicama slices.

# Notes:

01 - Be careful when dealing with hot peppers.
02 - You can make it ahead of time and keep it covered with plastic wrap.
03 - To get the best taste, add the tomatoes last, just before you eat.
