Caramelized Figs (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound fresh figs, sliced in half lengthwise.
02 - 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves.
03 - 1/4 cup white sugar.
04 - Cooking spray.
05 - 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder.

# Instructions:

01 - Turn on the broiler to preheat and set the rack around 6 inches below the heat. Lightly spray a baking tray with cooking spray.
02 - In a little bowl, stir together cinnamon, sugar, and cloves.
03 - Dip the flat side of the figs into the sugar mixture a couple of times. Place them on the tray, cut side facing up.
04 - Pop them under the broiler for about 4 minutes, keeping an eye out so the sugar caramelizes and the figs soften perfectly. Serve right away.

# Notes:

01 - Pick figs that are soft and ripe.
02 - Tastes best when eaten right away.
03 - Store up to 3 days in a sealed container.
