Pizza Chicken (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 boneless chicken breasts (weighing about 2 pounds).
02 - 1 tablespoon of seasoning blend (Italian style).
03 - 2 teaspoons of powdered garlic.
04 - 2 teaspoons of onion seasoning.
05 - 1 teaspoon of coarse salt.
06 - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper.
07 - 14 oz jarred pizza sauce.
08 - 8 oz of shredded mozzarella.
09 - 1/4 cup parmesan, grated.
10 - 15-20 pepperoni rounds.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven temperature to 350°F.
02 - Slice each chicken breast lengthwise to make even pieces.
03 - Put the chicken into a baking pan that's 9x13 in size.
04 - Combine the seasonings together, then spread over both sides of the chicken.
05 - Pour the pizza sauce evenly over the chicken pieces.
06 - Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan evenly on top. Add any leftover seasoning if you like.
07 - Lay the pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.
08 - Cover with foil and cook it for about 15 minutes.
09 - Remove the foil and keep baking for another 20 minutes.

01 - Shredding your own mozzarella from a block yields better results.
02 - Use parmesan that comes in a shelf-stable container for ease.
03 - The dish can hold up to 3 smaller chicken breasts, if needed.
04 - The final internal temperature should hit 165°F for safe eating.
