Crispy Pumpkin Seeds (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Salt as needed.
02 - A teaspoon or two of olive oil.
03 - Pumpkin or squash seeds.

# Instructions:

01 - Get rid of any pumpkin bits stuck to the seeds. Use a colander to wash away strings and flesh completely.
02 - Boil a water-filled pot. Let seeds simmer in it for around 10 minutes.
03 - Drain seeds thoroughly. Use a dish towel to dab them until they’re nice and dry.
04 - Mix salt and olive oil with the seeds in a bowl.
05 - Set oven to 300°F. Arrange seeds in a single even layer on a sheet pan.
06 - Bake seeds for 40-55 minutes. Stir them first at 15 minutes, then every 10 minutes, until golden and crunchy.

# Notes:

01 - For the best outcome, make sure seeds are both completely clean and dry.
02 - You can use this method for any type of winter squash seeds.
03 - Boiling helps the salt soak deeper into the seeds.
04 - Check on the seeds often—burning ruins the flavor.
