Baked Apple Treats (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1½ cups Honeycrisp apples, diced and peeled.
02 - 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt.
03 - 1/4 cup unsalted butter.
04 - 1½ cups all-purpose flour.
05 - 2 cups powdered sugar.
06 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
07 - 1/3 cup plus 2 tablespoons apple cider or juice.
08 - 2 teaspoons baking powder.
09 - 1 large egg.
10 - 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
11 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar.
12 - 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce.

# Instructions:

01 - Set oven to 400°F and lightly grease your baking tray.
02 - Combine cinnamon, baking powder, salt, and flour.
03 - In a big bowl, whisk together sugar and melted butter.
04 - Add applesauce, egg, and vanilla to the butter-sugar mix.
05 - Add in the dry mix and stir just until smooth.
06 - Gently fold in the chopped apples.
07 - Spoon out 1 tablespoon scoops onto your greased sheet.
08 - Pop them in the oven for 10 minutes.
09 - Switch on the broiler.
10 - Whisk glaze ingredients together until it’s nice and runny.
11 - Brush a light layer of glaze over the tops.
12 - Broil for 2-4 minutes, turning the tray as needed.
13 - Drizzle on any leftover glaze.
14 - Give them 15 minutes to cool and set.

# Notes:

01 - Good for 2 days at room temp.
02 - Lasts a week in the fridge.
03 - Warm again at 350°F for 5-10 minutes.
04 - Yields around 30 small bites.
