In a small bowl, mix the gelatin powder with the cold water. Stir it well until it’s completely dissolved.

In a pot over medium heat, combine the water with the sugar. Stir constantly for about 5 minutes to avoid burning. Use a candy thermometer to heat the mixture to 230°F (softball stage).

Carefully add the gelatin mixture into the hot sugar syrup, stirring well to make sure they’re fully combined. Take it off the stove.

Separate the mixture into different containers, stir in food coloring for each, and pour into molds in fun shapes. Let it sit undisturbed to set.

Once the candy is fully set, gently pop the pieces out of the molds. Roll each one in sugar so they don’t stick together, and they’re ready to enjoy!
