Churro Toffee Simple Treat (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Topping

01 - 2 tablespoons of cinnamon sugar blend
02 - 2 cups of Ghirardelli white chocolate wafers

→ Toffee Base

03 - 1 cup of plain unsalted butter
04 - ¼ teaspoon of kosher salt
05 - 1 cup of white sugar
06 - 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

# Instructions:

01 - Put parchment paper on a 15×10-inch baking pan and leave it nearby.
02 - Toss butter, sugar, and salt into a medium pot on medium heat. Stir non-stop until the butter’s completely melted. After it’s melted, keep stirring as it starts bubbling.
03 - Keep an eye on the mixture bubbling away. When it turns a color close to raw almonds, take it off the stove (around 5-8 minutes of cooking).
04 - Quickly add vanilla extract and blend it in. Pour all of it onto the baking pan and spread it evenly with an offset spatula. Make it as thick as you’d like.
05 - Pop the white chocolate wafers into a microwave-safe glass bowl. Heat them in the microwave for one minute and stir them until completely smooth.
06 - Pour the melted white chocolate right on top of the warm toffee. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mix over it immediately.
07 - Leave the toffee to cool down so the chocolate hardens fully. Once it’s set, break it into chunks and dig in!
