Turn the oven on to preheat at 350°F. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch pan, or use parchment so it lifts out easily.

Stir together the cake mix, eggs, and melted butter in a big bowl. Push the dough into the bottom of your prepared pan so it’s even.

Using another bowl, cream the softened cream cheese until silky. Blend the eggs and vanilla in until everything’s smooth. Little by little, mix in the powdered sugar.

Spread the cream cheese filling on top of the crust evenly.

Bake for 35–40 minutes. The sides should firm up, but the center will still jiggle a little for that gooey texture.

Let the dessert rest in the pan until cooled completely. Slice it into portions, and you’re good to go!
