Mongolian Beef Slow Cooker (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup grated carrots.
02 - 1½ pounds of flank steak.
03 - 3/4 cup water.
04 - 1/4 cup of cornstarch.
05 - 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
06 - 1 teaspoon minced garlic.
07 - 3/4 cup of soy sauce.
08 - 3/4 cup of brown sugar.
09 - Sesame seeds for topping.
10 - Chopped green onions for garnish.

# Instructions:

01 - Slice the flank steak nice and thin.
02 - Toss the sliced steak in cornstarch using a zip-top bag.
03 - Whisk together garlic, oil, soy sauce, water, and sugar until blended.
04 - Dump the sauce into the slow cooker.
05 - Put the grated carrots and steak into the cooker.
06 - Mix so the meat is completely covered with the sauce.
07 - Set it to cook on high for 2–3 hours or low for 4–5 hours.
08 - Spoon it over rice before serving.
09 - Sprinkle sesame seeds and green onions on top to finish.

# Notes:

01 - Slice the steak opposite the grain.
02 - If sliced thin, other beef cuts work too.
03 - Add any additional veggies during the last hour.
04 - Feel free to reduce the sugar level to suit your taste.
