# Ingredients:

01 - 1 teaspoon of sugar
02 - 1 teaspoon of salt
03 - 2 ½ cups of regular flour
04 - 2 tablespoons of olive oil
05 - 1 cup of warm (not hot) water
06 - 2 ¼ teaspoons of active yeast

→ Filling Choices

07 - 1 cup mozzarella, shredded
08 - 1 cup pizza-style sauce
09 - ½ cup cheddar, grated
10 - ½ cup of chopped mushrooms
11 - Pepperoni slices (optional)
12 - ½ cup diced green bell peppers or spicy jalapeños
13 - 1 pound of ground sausage or beef

14 - Extra mozzarella cheese, shredded
15 - Pepperoni or extra veggies for decoration

# Instructions:

01 - Combine the yeast and warm water in a bowl, and let it sit for 5 minutes until it gets bubbly. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, olive oil, and yeast combo until you’ve got a dough. Work the dough by hand on a floured counter for roughly 8–10 minutes until smooth. Cover it with a damp towel and allow it to rise for about an hour.
02 - Cook the ground sausage or beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Remove the extra grease. Add your pizza sauce, give it a stir, and let it simmer for 5 minutes, then set it aside.
03 - Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll your dough into a flat circle and place it in a greased springform or deep-dish pan, trimming any overhang. Press mozzarella cheese onto the bottom, spread the filling over it, then layer mushrooms and diced peppers on top. Add more cheese, fillings, and garnishes like extra pepperoni if you'd like.
04 - Place the pie in the oven and let it bake for 25–30 minutes until the crust is golden brown, and the top is bubbly with melted cheese. Wait a few minutes to cool before slicing.
