Sweet Hawaiian Pudding (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Around 3 cups of Hawaiian rolls, broken into cubes and left to stale (about 12 rolls).
02 - Five beaten eggs.
03 - Two cups of granulated sugar.
04 - Two cups of milk.
05 - Three teaspoons of vanilla.
06 - One cup dark brown sugar.
07 - A quarter cup of softened butter.
08 - A cup of chopped pecans.
09 - One beaten egg (used for sauce).
10 - A cup of granulated sugar (used in sauce).
11 - A half-cup of melted butter (for the sauce).
12 - A teaspoon of vanilla (sauce ingredient).

# Instructions:

01 - Slice up the Hawaiian rolls into cubes. Let them sit out for a full day to dry out.
02 - Take the dried bread cubes and place them into a greased pan (9x13 inches).
03 - Whisk the eggs in a large bowl, then stir in the sugar, milk, and vanilla. Blend everything smoothly and pour it over the bread. Give it about ten minutes to soak.
04 - Combine the softened butter and brown sugar in a bowl, then toss in the pecans. Stir it all together and sprinkle this mixture on top of the soaked bread.
05 - Put the dish in the oven at 350°F and bake for roughly 35 to 45 minutes. It's ready when the edges look golden brown.
06 - In a small bowl, beat the egg. Then mix it with butter, sugar, and vanilla. Cook over medium heat in a saucepan, stirring, until the sugar melts completely.
07 - Drizzle the warm sauce over the cooked dessert and enjoy!

# Notes:

01 - You can use toasted day-old bread if you don't want to wait.
02 - Try adding some cinnamon or maple syrup for a twist.
03 - Mix in bourbon for a bold sauce flavor.
04 - Replace milk with whole milk or heavy cream if you want it richer.
