Pat the salmon dry using paper towels. Sprinkle salt and pepper all over both sides generously.

In a large skillet on medium heat, stir the butter around until it melts and starts bubbling. Watch carefully so it doesn’t burn.

Put the salmon fillets into the skillet with the skin side (if there’s skin) facing down. Let them cook undisturbed for 4-5 minutes until the edges get crispy.

Flip the salmon over gently. Sprinkle the minced garlic into the pan and spread it evenly. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, making sure the fillets are done.

Pour the lemon juice over the fillets and scatter the parsley on top. Keep them in the pan for about a minute to take in the flavors.

Move the fish to serving plates. Spoon the garlicky butter over the top and add a lemon wedge to each plate for some final zest.
