Creamy Custard Oatmeal (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 ½ cups of milk (or any plant-based alternative)
02 - 1 large egg
03 - A teaspoon of vanilla
04 - A tiny pinch of salt
05 - 1 cup of rolled oats
06 - 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup

→ Extra Toppings

07 - Chopped nuts
08 - Pieces of banana
09 - Some fresh berries

# Instructions:

01 - Dump the oats, milk, and salt into a saucepan. Heat on medium while occasionally giving it a stir. Let it slowly come to a soft boil.
02 - In a little bowl, mix up the egg, vanilla, and honey until it’s smooth.
03 - When the oats have soaked up most of the liquid (about 5–7 minutes), turn the heat down. Slowly pour in the egg mixture while stirring like crazy so it doesn’t turn into scrambled eggs.
04 - Keep cooking for 2–3 more minutes, stirring often, until you’ve got a creamy texture.
05 - Take it off the heat and serve right away. Throw on some berries, banana slices, or nuts to make it even better.
