Whip together butter and sugar until it’s fluffy and pale.

Stir in the egg, then mix in almond and vanilla until smooth.

Stir in flour, cornstarch, salt, and baking powder without overdoing it.

Split dough into 3 parts. Leave one natural, and use green or red on the others.

Roll dough into thin sheets, stack them up, then roll tight into a spiral log.

Coat the rolled-up log in sprinkles so they stick all over.

Slice the log into pieces about 1/3 inch thick, then bake for 12–14 min at 350°F.
