01 -
Combine yeast, sugar, and warm water in a small bowl. Let it sit for about 5–10 minutes until frothy bubbles form.
02 -
In a big mixing bowl, combine salt and flour, and whisk them together.
03 -
Pour the frothy yeast and the olive oil into the bowl with the dry mix. Stir till it forms a dough.
04 -
On a lightly floured spot, knead the dough for 5–7 minutes until it turns smooth and stretchy. Use a stand mixer if you prefer.
05 -
Put a damp cloth over the dough and let it take a 15-minute break.
06 -
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prep a baking tray by coating it with oil or laying parchment paper.
07 -
Spread out the dough into a 9x13-inch rectangle using a rolling pin on your floured counter.
08 -
Grab a knife or pizza cutter and divide the dough into 12 strips.
09 -
Lay the dough strips neatly onto the baking sheet.
10 -
Coat the top of the strips with melted butter, and sprinkle with garlic powder if you’d like.
11 -
Top the strips with loads of mozzarella and a bit of parmesan.
12 -
If you'd like, sprinkle dried oregano or some Italian seasoning over the top.
13 -
Pop it in the oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the cheese is gooey and bubbly.
