Cheddar Bacon Apple Biscuits (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3/4 teaspoon salt (use kosher or table, whatever you have handy)
02 - 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon baking powder
03 - 2 cups plain flour (all-purpose)
04 - 2 tablespoons white sugar
05 - 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
06 - 1/4 cup chopped fresh rosemary
07 - 6 tablespoons super cold butter, unsalted
08 - 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar
09 - 6 slices crispy bacon, crumbled up
10 - 1 medium apple, peeled and diced small
11 - 1 cup + 4 tablespoons heavy cream, split up

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 400°F (204°C). Cover a big baking tray with parchment paper and leave it for now.
02 - Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a big mixing bowl. Just whisk it all together till blended.
03 - Grab a cheese grater and shred the cold butter right into the dry mixture. Then, use a pastry cutter or two forks to break it all down into a crumb-like texture.
04 - Toss in the rosemary, diced apple, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheese. Stir lightly to spread them around.
05 - Pour in 1 cup of cream and 3 tablespoons more. Use a fork to stir till it forms a sticky dough. Turn it onto a floured counter and knead a few turns (6 or 7 should do it) into a smooth ball.
06 - Flatten the dough into a circle about an inch (2.5 cm) thick. Use a biscuit cutter to punch out rounds. Roll and cut the leftover bits until it's all used up.
07 - Place the biscuits on your prepped tray and brush the tops with the rest of the cream. Bake them in the oven for 18-20 minutes, or until they turn beautifully golden.
08 - Enjoy warm! These biscuits are awesome for breakfast sandwiches.
