Beef Patties Gravy (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 lbs of ground beef.
02 - 1 cup of crushed saltine crackers (about 28 crackers).
03 - 1 cup of milk.
04 - Half of a small onion, chopped finely.
05 - 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of salt.
06 - 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper.
07 - 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder for a little spice.
08 - 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder.
09 - 1/4 to 1/2 cup of flour for patty coating.
10 - 3 tablespoons of butter for frying.
11 - 1 or 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup, depending on preference.
12 - 1 and 1/2 cups of milk.

# Instructions:

01 - Stir together crushed crackers, spices, milk, and onion in a bowl.
02 - Toss in the ground beef and mix until it's all blended.
03 - Make 8 thick patties from the mixture.
04 - Lightly coat each patty with flour on all sides.
05 - Warm butter in a big frying pan over medium heat.
06 - Cook each patty in the pan until they're browned on both sides.
07 - Place the browned patties into a large baking dish.
08 - In a bowl, whisk the mushroom soup and milk together until smooth.
09 - Pour the gravy mixture over the patties in the dish.
10 - Cover the dish and bake at 350°F for about 50-55 minutes.
11 - Take the cover off and bake for another 10 minutes.

# Notes:

01 - Pairs nicely with noodles or mashed potatoes.
02 - Swap out milk for water in the gravy if you'd like.
03 - One can of soup is enough for a decent amount of gravy.
04 - Crush crackers easily by sealing them in a plastic bag and smashing them.
