A Kitchen Love Story
The heart of my home has always been the kitchen. Growing up in a small town in Minnesota, I was lucky to have two incredible mentors—my grandmother Eleanor, who could turn the simplest ingredients into something magical, and my mother Caroline, whose homemade bread filled our home with warmth every Sunday morning. Perched on a wooden stool, watching them cook, I learned that food is more than just nourishment—it’s a way to create memories. These early experiences planted the seeds for what would become Taste of Moms, a space where cooking is about love, tradition, and bringing people together.
From Home Cook to Culinary Explorer
My culinary journey expanded when I spent years traveling through Europe and Asia, immersing myself in local food traditions. I learned the art of pasta-making from an Italian nonna in Tuscany, discovered the balance of spices in Indian curries, and perfected the delicate folds of dim sum in Hong Kong. But the greatest lesson wasn’t about technique—it was about the universal power of food to connect people across cultures. These experiences shaped my approach to cooking: authentic, approachable, and always with a story to tell.
Creating Taste of Moms
Through Taste of Moms, I share more than just recipes—I share the joy of home cooking. Every dish is inspired by both my family's traditions and my global adventures, tailored for busy home cooks looking for simple, flavorful meals. Whether it's a comforting weeknight dinner or a festive holiday dish, my goal is to help you feel confident in the kitchen. Because the best moments happen around the table, filled with laughter, love, and delicious food. Let’s cook, share, and create lasting memories together.
