Sweet Plantains Air Fryer (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 plantain (make sure it looks mostly black for ripeness).
02 - Small pinch of salt if you want to use it.
03 - 1/4 cup avocado oil, ideal for brushing.

# Instructions:

01 - Peel the plantain by slicing its skin lengthwise, then remove it carefully.
02 - Slice the plantain into angled pieces about one inch thick.
03 - Lay plantain chunks flat in your air fryer basket. Brush them well with avocado oil.
04 - Cook them at 390°F for 15 to 20 minutes total.
05 - After 7 minutes, flip each piece once you see the bottom turning golden.
06 - Once the plantains are done, use tongs to remove them. Sprinkle salt on top if that’s your thing.

# Notes:

01 - The ripest plantains are the ones with blackened skin.
02 - Avocado oil works great because it doesn’t burn easily under high heat.
03 - Stick to 390°F so the sugar in the plantains doesn’t burn.
04 - Spread the plantains in a single layer for the best cooking.
