Crispy Mozzarella Sticks (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cheesy Layer

01 - 10 sticks of mozzarella string cheese

→ Coating Setup

02 - 1 cup panko crumbs
03 - 2 beaten large eggs
04 - 1/2 cup plain flour
05 - A dash of salt
06 - 1/2 teaspoon of Italian herbs
07 - 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
08 - Cooking spray

# Instructions:

01 - Chop the mozzarella sticks in half for smaller portions, if you'd like. Lay them on a sheet pan.
02 - Set up three bowls side by side: add flour to the first one, whisked eggs in the second, and a mix of panko, garlic powder, seasonings, and salt in the last.
03 - Pick up one stick at a time. Cover it with flour, dip it into the egg, and roll it all around in breadcrumbs until fully coated.
04 - Spread the breaded cheese sticks on a tray and pop them in the freezer for a minimum of 30 minutes. This keeps them firm while cooking.
05 - Heat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C). Spray the frozen mozzarella sticks lightly with cooking spray and cook for 6-8 minutes until crisp and golden.
06 - While still warm and gooey, serve these with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.

# Notes:

01 - Freezing stops the cheese from oozing out—don’t skip it!
02 - Keep the air fryer roomy by cooking them a few at a time.
03 - Eat them right away when the cheese is stretchy and soft.
