Let the watermelon chunks thaw on the counter for about 5–10 minutes so they're not rock hard.

Toss the watermelon, lime juice, 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, water, and the basil or mint into your blender. Blend until the watermelon starts breaking down.

Blend until you've got a thick slushie. Taste it and add more maple syrup if you like it sweeter. Add a splash of water if it's too thick.

Evenly divide the slushie between four glasses, then serve and drink right away.
