Philly Cheese Steak Bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Meat and Veggies

01 - 4 ounces of sliced mushrooms
02 - 1 medium-sized yellow onion, cut into thin strips
03 - 1 green bell pepper, sliced up nicely
04 - 16 oz of thinly cut ribeye steak

→ Condiments and Fats

05 - 2 tbsp butter
06 - 1/4 cup of mayo
07 - 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
08 - 1 tablespoon of canola oil

→ Bread and Cheese

09 - A long French bread, sliced lengthwise
10 - 10 to 12 pieces of Provolone cheese

→ Seasonings

11 - Dash of salt and pepper to your liking

# Instructions:

01 - Warm up the oven to 400°F. Give your ribeye slices a good coating of salt and pepper while waiting.
02 - Heat a cast iron pan over medium-high with some oil in it. Cook the steak for a couple minutes on each side so it browns. Toss it with Worcestershire and set aside for later.
03 - Add butter to the skillet used for the steak. Toss in the onions, peppers, and mushrooms. Sprinkle some salt and pepper and cook for about 2 minutes until they soften up just a bit.
04 - Cover the cut bread halves with mayo, then lay out slices of cheese. Layer on the cooked steak and veggies, and top it all off with another cheese layer.
05 - Bake the bread in the middle of the oven for 10–15 minutes. You'll know it's done when the cheese is bubbling and lightly golden. Cut it into 2” pieces and serve while warm!

# Notes:

01 - This melty, cheesy bread is loaded with Philly cheesesteak flavors and is a hit for gatherings or quick family meals.
02 - Ribeye really gives you that traditional Philly cheesesteak taste. If it's not available, you can substitute with another kind of beef.
