Lemon Puppy Chow (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Components

01 - 6 cups of Rice Chex cereal
02 - 10 ounces of vanilla-flavored white candy melts
03 - 4 tablespoons salted butter, melted

→ Lemon Add-Ons

04 - 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
05 - 1 teaspoon lemon zest, split in half

→ Sugar Dusting

06 - 2 to 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Dump Rice Chex cereal into a big mixing bowl.
02 - Combine the melted butter with lemon juice and half of the lemon zest. Drizzle over the cereal and gently stir to coat every piece.
03 - Put white candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl and zap for 1 minute. Stir it, then heat in 30-second bursts, mixing after each round, until it's smooth.
04 - Pour the melted candy onto the cereal. Toss it gently until every piece is covered evenly.
05 - Sprinkle 1 cup of powdered sugar over the mix and toss lightly. Add the rest (1 to 1 1/2 cups) until you've got your ideal coating.
06 - Put the mix in a serving dish. Sprinkle with the other half teaspoon of lemon zest for a pop of color and flavor.

# Notes:

01 - Heat candy slowly or it could clump up.
02 - Don’t over-stir, or the cereal might fall apart.
03 - It’s okay to leave a few clusters in the mix.
